Maple Sap Collection Field Trip to Cincinnati Nature Center February 18, 2017

Saturday was a wonderful warm day for our ICYO field trip to the Cincinnati Nature Center with some of our K ? 3 kids. A huge thank you to the CNC Earthkids Program for sponsoring our admission fees and sending 4 volunteer chaperones and CNC staff member, Joy, as our guide. Even though there was not much sap to be had, the children had a fun experience checking the collection buckets for sap. They also visited the Sugar House to learn how sap is evaporated into maple syrup by the huge Evaporator Machine. They also got to taste some real pure maple syrup! www.cincynature.org
