Support our Annual Campaign

October 1, 2017 @ 12:00 am - February 28, 2018 @ 11:59 pm

Each year, ICYO touches the lives of over 60 young people in our community, giving them a chance to succeed. Kids like Kayla, a young lady who is currently a part of the after-school and summertime program. She started with ICYO when she was just a kindergartner. The program provided free tutoring and kept her on track in school just as her mom Nina had hoped. But the program did so much more than that. Through ICYO, Kayla has been able to meet different people, go on field trips out of the neighborhood, and experience opportunities like camp, tennis, and cultural events. “We both have been blessed to have ICYO,” said her mom Nina.

Kayla is now a high school freshman, and a leader at school, church, and home. “I used to be very shy,” said Kayla, “but now I’m outgoing. The program taught me how to lead without yelling.” Kayla stays busy on the dance troupe at church and is trying out for the volleyball team at school. She’s become a responsible young lady who helps her parents care for her siblings, nieces, and nephews who live at home with her and are also enrolled in the program.

ICYO will keep being there for Kayla and her family as she grows up, and you can help. Your gift sends an important message that you believe in kids like Kayla, and that you see something in them even when others may not. Join us in making a difference by donating today.

Yes, Kayla, I believe in you and kids just like you! You deserve an opportunity to succeed!
